The process of black zinc plating mainly includes the following steps:

Pre-treatment: First, the workpiece needs to be pre-treated, including steps such as degreasing, descaling and washing, to ensure that the surface of the workpiece is clean and smooth for subsequent plating treatment.

Pickling treatment: Next, the workpiece needs to undergo pickling treatment to remove surface oxides, increase surface roughness and improve the adhesion of the plating layer. The solution for pickling is usually pebble acid or hydrochloric acid.

Electroplating treatment: The key step in black zinc plating is to put the workpiece into a zinc salt solution containing cyanide, and then a black zinc plating layer is applied to the surface of the workpiece by the action of an applied electric current. The formulation of the plating solution and the plating conditions are critical and need to be strictly controlled to ensure the quality of the coating.

Cleaning: After plating, the workpiece needs to be cleaned to remove residual plating solution and other impurities on the surface. Cleaning is usually done repeatedly with alkaline detergent and pure water until the surface of the workpiece is clean.

Surface treatment: Finally, the surface of the workpiece can be subjected to some additional treatments, such as polishing, plating, spraying, etc., to enhance the glossiness and aesthetics of the surface.

Application areas and advantages of black zinc plating: this process can not only improve the surface quality and corrosion resistance of the workpiece, but also increase the appearance and aesthetics of the workpiece to meet the needs of different customers. Black zinc electroplating is mainly used for rust prevention, aesthetics and increasing hardness.
