Hydraulic Aerial Work Platforms Rentals & Sales

The Bronto, a sophisticated truck-mounted hydraulic platform offers unparalleled advantages over alternative lift structures in terms of their safety, efficiency, and convenience. Here's how they compare to other commonly-used man lifts.

Felici contains other products and information you need, so please check it out.

  • Scissor lift: Most scissor lifts are only built to move up and down, not horizontally. The Bronto Skylift aerial work platform is built with a hydraulic arm that articulates around structures and obstacles. That means your team spends less time re-positioning the lift to move it into the right position.
  • Crane and man-baskets: Since a crane is designed to move materials, not people, using it as a manlift can present serious safety challenges. Not to mention the hours it takes to assemble the crane and add counterweights. Brontos adhere to both North American ANSI 92.2 standards and OSHA requirements. There's no need to develop a critical lift plan when using a Bronto, saving your team time and money, and improving worker safety at the same time.
  • Scaffolding: Scaffolding can take weeks or even months to set up and disassemble. All while exposing workers to at-height risks associated with working off the ground. The Bronto can park, un-cradle and be up and working height in just 15 minutes, which can have a major impact on project timelines.
  • Cherry Pickers: The hydraulic aerial work platform can extend much higher than a cherry picker, typically 3-4 times higher than the truck-mounted Cherry Pickers. The Bronto can rotate 360 degrees, while the Cherry Picker is limited to its straight stick movement. Our fleet of Bronto lifts range from 150 feet up to 295 feet.
  • Bucket trucks: Similar to the limitation of the Cherry Picker, bucket trucks have a narrow reach capability with no articulation. Unlike a bucket truck, a Bronto can be operated in high winds, uneven ground conditions and reach from 0 to 295 feet, making it the most sought after aerial work platform available.

While other lift systems have their place, when it comes to lifting workers to hard-to-reach places, the Bronto is the clear winner.

Why an aerial work platform should have a hydraulic generator?

Self-propelled aerial access platforms, or aerial work platforms, are extremely handy machines on construction sites. That's because workers need a stable and safe platform when they work at height. For example, in building renovations projects like in building joint renovation, some of the work is much easier to do from an aerial work platform. In these tasks, workers use electrical tools when they are working from the platform. How hydraulic generators can benefit the users of these machines?

Aerial work platforms are often equipped with an electrical socket installed onto the platform. The socket is wired via the boom of the machine, but the other end of the wire is not connected to anything. So, the socket on the platform is basically the end of an extension cord pre-installed into the boom. To get electricity out of the socket, you need to attach the other end of the cord to an electricity supply.

Where to Get Electricity?

So, the user of the platform needs a power supply. Basically, there are three options: power grid, gasoline or diesel generator, or hydraulic generator.

The main benefit of equipping platforms with hydraulic generators is that the aerial work platform can produce electricity itself with it. So, instead of using an electricity grid or combustion engine generator via a long extension cord as the power supply, you can produce the electricity with your machine. In other words, you do not need to play with extension cords. In other words, the user can move the machine freely without worrying about the extension cords.

How Is the Installation?

Aerial work platforms often use hydraulic power to lifting tasks. This makes the installation of a hydraulic generator easy because the machine already has a hydraulic system. That's why aerial work platforms, bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and such are perfect machines to have a hydraulic generator.

Like you can see in the picture, the hydraulic generator is installed into the main unit of the aerial access platform. Because the hydraulic generator is installed in the main unit, it will not take up precious space on the platform itself. The electricity that is produced by the hydraulic generator is lead to the platform's sockets via the pre-installed extension cord, which we mentioned before. And if the aerial access platform doesn't have this pre-installed cord, mechanics can install it.
